Diese europäische Norm dient dazu, Arbeitsabläufe des Catering durch die Schaffung eines hohen Grades von Austauschbarkeit der Elemente zu rationalisieren. Sie beruht auf dem Gastro-Norm-Modulsystem. Diese ÖNORM legt die Maße von Zubehör wie Geschirrkörben, Tabletts, Rosten und Schneidbrettern und die Maße von Auflagen für Speisenbehälter mit Rändern und für Zubehör fest. Zubehör und Auflagen müssen gemeinsam mit Speisenbehältern gemäß ÖNORM EN 631-1 verwendet werden. Diese ÖNORM behandelt auch die Kennzeichnung der Bauteile.
