Es werden Maße männlicher Maschinenführer von Erdbaumaschinen angegeben, wobei in den Tabellen in kleine (5. Perzentil), mittlere (50. Perzentil) und große Maschinenführer (95. Perzentil) unterschieden wird. Diese Norm ist eine Anleitung zur Bestimmung des Mindest-Freiraumes um den Maschinenführer für übliche Arbeitsbewegungen. Der Mindest-Freiraum legt die Eingrenzungen um den Maschinenführer fest, die auf Erdbaumaschinen allgemein verwendet werden (z.B. Fahrerkabinen, Schutzaufbauten).
