Für Azetylen-Gasflaschen bis zu einem Nenninhalt von maximal 150 l, sind die grundlegenden Anforderungen festgelegt. Für die Verwendung solcher Gasflaschen sind die notwendigen Verfahren für die Zulassung zum Verkehr angegeben. Eine Methode zur Bestimmung der Porösität von porösen Massen ist beschrieben. Für lösungsmittelfreie Azetylen-Gasflaschen sind gesondert Bedingungen angeführt. Für die Festlegung des maximal zulässigen Druckes in einer Azetylen-Gasflasche sind Berechnungsformeln enthalten. Verfahren für die Herstellungs-/Stichprobenprüfung für die Vorbereitung der porösen Masse sind aufgenommen worden.
