Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Auswirkungen des Einflusses von Hitze und Luft auf einen dünnen Film bitumenhaltigen Bindemittels fest. Das RFT-Verfahren ("Rotating Flask Test") simuliert die Verhärtung eines bitumenhaltigen Bindemittels während des Mischvorganges in einer Asphaltmischanlage. Bei diesem Verfahren rotiert eine Probe des bitumenhaltigen Bindemittels eine vorgegebene Zeit bei festgelegter Temperatur und mit konstanter Luftzuführung in dem Kolben eines Rotationsverdampfers. Diese Norm enthält normative Verweise und regelt die erforderlichen Geräte und Hilfsmittel, die Probenahme, die Durchführung der Prüfung, die Berechnung und die Angabe der Ergebnisse, die Präzision des Verfahrens bei Wiederholungen und Vergleichen der Prüfung sowie die Angaben des Prüfberichtes.
