Behandelt sind Mindestanforderungen für Leichtschlauchgeräte mit Vollmasken, Halbmasken oder Viertelmasken zum Einsatz in durch Gase, Partikeln oder beides verunreinigten Atmosphären. Die Atemschutzgeräte sind zum Einsatz unter Arbeitsbedingungen vorgesehen, bei denen die Gefahr einer Beschädigung des Druckluft-Zuführungsschlauches gering ist. Sie sind nicht anzuwenden als Fluchtgeräte und Tauchgeräte sowie als Geräte für Strahlarbeiten. Die Leichtschlauchgeräte werden - basierend auf der maximal zulässigen nach innen gerichteten Leckage - in drei Klassen eingeteilt. Festgelegt sind Laborprüfungen und praktische Leistungsprüfungen, um die Übereinstimmung mit den definierten Anforderungen feststellen zu können.
