Diese ÖNORM enthält graphische Symbole, die auf elektrischen Betriebsmitteln verwendet werden. In Ergänzung zum Teil 1 der vorliegenden ÖNORM, welche die Symbole aus IEC 417 enthält, stellt die vorliegende ÖNORM eine für den Bereich der Elektrotechnik zutreffende Auswahl allgemeiner Symbole aus ISO 7000 dar. Sie umfaßt Symbole zur Anwendung auf Betriebsmitteln aller Art oder auf Teilen von elektrischen Betriebsmitteln, wo diese Symbole Bedienungspersonen über Betrieb und Funktion unterrichten.
