Diese ÖNORM enthält Mindestanforderungen an und Prüfungen von Beschichtungsstoffe(n), die dazu bestimmt sind, durch handwerkliche und/oder industrielle Verfahren auf Holzoberflächen aufgetragen zu werden, und an daraus hergestellte Beschichtungen gemäß ÖNORM B 3803 für maßhaltige Außenbauteile aus Holz zum Schutz vor Witterungseinflüssen und zur optischen Gestaltung. Diese ÖNORM enthält keine Anforderungen hinsichtlich der zur Formulierung der verwendeten Beschichtungsstoffe eingesetzten Rohstoffe, das sind insbesondere Art und Menge der Bindemittel und Pigmente und die chemische Basis der Löse- und Verdünnungsmittel.
