Die Norm ist für Langschilder, Kurzschilder und Rosetten mit Drückerführung sowie für Knopflangschilder, Knopfkurzschilder und Rosetten mit Wechselknopf für Wohnungseingangs- und Innentüren gemäß ÖNORM B 5330 in Verbindung mit den entsprechenden Einstemmschlössern (Einteckschlössern) gemäß ÖNORM B 5350 und Türdrückern bzw. Drehknöpfen gemäß ÖNORM B 5340 anzuwenden. Sie enthält Begriffsbestimmungen, Maße und zulässige Maßabweichungen, Anforderungen sowie Angaben über die zu verwendenden Werkstoffe, die Ausführung und über die Be- und Kennzeichnung. Die Einhaltung der Abmessungen und Anforderungen ist gemäß ÖNORM B 5342 zu prüfen. Für Sicherheitsbeschläge von Hauptschlössern einbruchhemmender Türen ist die ÖNORM B 5455 anzuwenden.
