Gegenstand dieser ÖNORM sind Formstücke aus Polyvinylchlorid-hart (PVC-U) für Wasserleitungen, erdverlegt oder in Gebäuden. In dieser ÖNORM werden Abmessungen, Anforderungen und Prüfungen für diese Formstücke festgelegt. Es sind eine Gütesicherung und Normkennzeichnung gemäß § 3(2) Normengesetz 1971 vorgesehen. Die Formstücke gemäß dieser ÖNORM können aus Rohren gemäß ÖNORM B 5182 "Rohre und Rohre mit angeformten Steckmuffen aus PVC-U für Wasserleitungen; Abmessungen, technische Lieferbedingungen, Prüfungen und Normkennzeichnung" oder im Spritzgießverfahren hergestellt werden.
