ÖNORM B 5074

This ÖNORM has to be applied solely in conjunction with ÖNORM EN 1916. For pipes and fittings made of unreinforced concrete, steel fibre concrete and of reinforced concrete this ÖNORM contains requirements and related test methods for which no consensus could be reached prior to publication of EN 1916 (see ÖNORM EN 1916:2003, table 1). In the present ÖNORM 2 types of pipes are specified: - Type 1: These pipes and fittings correspond to the basic specifications of EN 1916 and to the requirements contained in ÖNORM B 5074 corresponding to EN 1916:2003, table 1. They are resistant against environments with low chemical agressiveness (agressivity classes AS 0 and AS 1 according to ÖNORM B 2503:2009, table 2) and are mainly used for stromwater drainage systems. - Type 2: These pipes and fittings are matching the basic requirements of ÖNORM EN 1916 and those additional requirements contained in ÖNORM B 5074 in regard of the resistance against chemically aggressive environments (aggressivity classes AS 2, AS 2L and AS 3 according to ÖNORM B 2503:2009, table 2). They are particularly suitable for combined wastewater and for sewerage systems.
