This ÖNORM specifies requirements that must be observed in the control and remediation of an existing infestation by wood-destroying fungi or insects.
This ÖNORM is to be applied together with ÖNORM B 3801, ÖNORM B 3802-1, ÖNORM B 3802-2 and ÖNORM B 3802-3.
This ÖNORM deals with components and structures made of solid wood, bonded wood and wood-based materials.
The requirements of this ÖNORM apply to both statically load-bearing and non-load-bearing timber components.
The application of ÖNORM to other wood areas such as furniture, fixtures, works of art and the like is recommended.
Control measures against termites, ants and remediation measures in case of mould infestation are not subject of this ÖNORM.
