This Austrian Standard specifies requirements concerning increased sulphate-resistant cements. These requirements apply to increased sulphate-resistant cements, in addition to the requirements of ÖNORM EN 197-1 for common cements. Instructions for the choice of cement with moderately increased resistance against sulphate attack and/or of cement with highly increased resistance against sulphate attack are given in Table NAD 10 of ÖNORM B 4710-1 as function of exposition classes XA 1, XA 2 and XA 3 relating to sulphate attack. The present Austrian Standard shall be applied jointly with ÖNORM B 4710-1 as concerns the choice and use of cement in case of sulphate attack.
