Diese ÖNORM ist für alle werksmäßig hergestellten Ziegel anzuwenden, die zur Herstellung von nicht tragenden Innenwandsystemen gemäß den ÖNORMEN B 3358-1 und B 3358-2 sowie für sonstiges nichttragendes Mauerwerk (z. B. Ausfachungsmauerwerk) geeignet sind. Sie enthält die an diese Ziegel zu stellenden Güteanforderungen sowie die dazugehörigen Prüfverfahren, die die Überwachung und Normkennzeichnung dieser Produkte regeln. Für tragende Wandsysteme aus Ziegeln gelten die ÖNORMEN B 3200 und B 3350.
