This standard has to be applied together with ÖNORM EN 12842 and includes specifications for joints, surface protection and quailty assurance of fittings for PVC-U or PE piping systems, which are not stated in ÖNORM EN 12842. Furthermore the procedure of proof of conformity according to § 3 (2) of the Federal act of Standardization of 1971 for ductile cast iron fittings for PVC-U or PE piping systems is given in this standard.
