This Austrian Standard contains rules of procedure and terms of contract for the implementation of glazing using basic glass products according to ÖNORM EN 572-1 or flat glass according to ÖNORM B 3710.
This Austrian Standard is applicable for glazing of windows, doors and combinations thereof, (called subsequently „window“), as well as glazing of interior partition walls and interior and exterior doors, horizontal glazing, wall coverings of glass (glass panels), dry glazing and glazing systems.
Excluded are special glazing (eg fire resistant glazing, underwater glazing, walkable or motorable glass surfaces, greenhouses, curved panes) and glazing with folds not according to ÖNORM B 3722.
The demolition and disposal of glass are regulated in ÖNORM B 2251.
