ÖNORM B 1997-1-3

This ÖNORM shall be applied to the design of pile foundations according to ÖNORM EN 1997-1. The requirements listed are aimed at the analysis of pile foundations with respect to the dissipation of loads (actions) into the ground, namely for ULS analysis and SLS analysis, depending on the type, material and construction method of the piles used. For the execution of pile foundations, depending on the type of pile and material used ÖNORM EN 1536, ÖNORM EN 12699 or ÖNORM EN 14199, are to be used. Pile like foundation elements constructed by jet grouting according to ÖNORM EN 12716 are covered in clause 6.2. Grouted piles with tensile loads, i.e. grouted displacement piles according to ÖNORM EN 12699 or grouted micropiles according to ÖNORM EN 14199, are to be treated like anchorages and have to be analysed according to ÖNORM B 1997-1-1:2013, clause 4.6.3. In addition, an analysis concerning uplift of a soil mass attached to a tensile pile has to be performed according to 7.3.2.2 or 7.3.4.3. The types of piles, construction methods and materials used covered by this ÖNORM are defined in clause 6.2 depending on their load bearing behaviour.
