Dieses Dokument legt ein Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung des Gehaltes von Fettsäuremethylestern (FAME, en: Fatty Acid Methyl Esters) in Dieselkraftstoff oder Heizöl mit Hilfe der Infrarotspektrometrie im mittleren Infrarotbereich fest, und zwar für FAME-Gehalte in den beiden folgenden Messbereichen: - Messbereich A: für FAME Gehalte von etwa 0,05 % (V/V) bis etwa 3 % (V/V); - Messbereich B: für FAME Gehalte von etwa 3 % (V/V) bis etwa 20 % (V/V). Höhere FAME-Gehalte können vom Grundsatz her ebenfalls nach entsprechender Verdünnung analysiert werden, jedoch enthält diese Norm gegenwärtig keine Präzisionsangaben für nicht in den genannten Messbereichen liegende Ergebnisse.
