Aggregates

This technical information bulletin was developed by Committee 051 "Granular materials and aggregates" and contains information on the harmonised European standards relevant to the CE mark for aggregates. It provides a compact overview of the general legal conditions and valid regulations as well as of the national transposition provisions of the harmonised European standards.

This technical information bulletin sets out why:

• The EU gazette cites older versions of harmonised European standards in some cases rather than those published by the European Committee for Standardization.
• The versions of harmonised European standards are yet to be cited in the EU gazette.
• Austrian Standards offers current versions of harmonised European standards that, however, may not be consulted for the CE mark.
• Austrian Standards withdrew a range of harmonised European standards which continue to be used for the CE mark and why these are no longer current standards.
