Diese Internationale Norm legt allgemeine Prüfverfahren für Epoxidharze zur Verwendung in Beschichtungsstoffen und ähnlichen Produkten fest. Die Norm ist ebenfalls anwendbar auf aus Epoxidharzen hergestellte Lösungen und ähnliche Zubereitungen, die zur Verwendung als Bindemittel für Beschichtungsstoffe vorgesehen sind. Die für ein individuelles Epoxidharz anzuwendenden Prüfverfahren sind zwischen den interessierten Parteien zu vereinbaren. Die in dieser Norm beschriebenen Prüfverfahren gelten nicht für Epoxidharzester.
