Dieser Teil der ISO 17225 legt die qualitätsbezogenen Brennstoffklassen und -spezifikationen für klassifizierte nicht-holzartige Pellets fest. Dieser Teil der ISO 17225 umfasst nur nicht-holzartige Pellets, die aus folgenden Rohmaterialien hergestellt wurden (siehe ISO 17225-1, Tabelle 1):
