Dieser Teil von ISO 9902, zusammen mit ISO 9902-1:2001, legt die Aufstellungs- und Befestigungsbedingungen, die Betriebszustände und Bedingungen für Messung, Angabe und Nachprüfung der Geräusche, die von Spinnereivorbereitungs- und Spinnmaschinen abgestrahlt werden, fest.
Er gilt für Verfahren der Genauigkeitsklasse 2 und der Genauigkeitsklasse 3, in Übereinstimmung mit den Internationalen Normen, auf die normativ verwiesen wird, und für Maschinen verschiedener Arten, die, wie in ISO 2187 definiert, verwendet werden zum
- Öffnen, Reinigen, Mischen;
- Waschen von Wolle;
- Pressen von Ballen;
- Krempeln und Kardieren;
- Schneiden und Reißen von Spinnkabel;
- zur Spinnereivorbereitung nach dem Krempeln und Kardieren und
